SAN DIEGO, CA – A 95-year-old man who was seriously injured in a collision earlier this month in east San Diego died last Monday, reports Fox 5 San Diego.
The incident happened on Thursday, March 2nd, just before 11:30 a.m. in the area of 4200 Camino del Rio North, which is just south of Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala.
Authorities identified the victim as Robert Sherman George. George was one of two drivers injured when his westbound Toyota pickup truck veered into the eastbound lanes and struck an oncoming Honda SUV.
George died 11 days after the accident from blunt force injuries.
The condition of the other driver is unknown at this time.
The investigation continues.
